On October 31, 2025, UNDP "Climate Promise Armenia: From Pledge to Impact" program hosted “Gender-Sensitive and Socially Inclusive Criteria for the 3rd Nationally Determined Contributions (LSG 3.0) of the Republic of Armenia under the Paris Agreement” workshop.
The event, held at the Green Learning Center in Dzoraghbyur, brought together experts and stakeholders from the agricultural sector to present and discuss the findings of the “Improving Gender-Sensitive and Socially Inclusive Criteria for NDC 3.0” study, conducted under UNDP project.
The workshop aimed to share key findings, engage participants in discussion, and gather sector-specific feedback to refine and validate the proposed criteria. Participants emphasized that Armenia’s NDC 3.0 should not only be ambitious in its climate goals but also equitable, promoting the meaningful participation of women, youth, local communities, and socially vulnerable groups in climate decision-making and implementation.
As part of the event, participants also toured the Green Learning Center, exploring applied climate change adaptation measures and sustainable agricultural practices.
This was the first of three workshops planned under the initiative. The upcoming events will focus on the energy and tourism sectors, engaging respective stakeholders to review, discuss, and further calibrate the proposed criteria based on sectoral needs and feedback.
“Improving Gender-Sensitive and Socially Inclusive criteria for NDC 3.0” study is conducted by “Women in Climate and Energy” NGO contracted in the frame of the project.
