On September 30 “Arrangements for Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) System for Mitigation Policies and Actions in Armenia” workshop took place in the frame of “Building Armenia’s National Transparency Framework under Paris Agreement” UNDP-GEF (CBIT) project.

The workshop targeted representatives of the “Inter-Agency Coordinating Council on the implementation of requirements and provisions of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement”, its working groups, government stakeholders and the expert community. She also emphasized the importance of the active participation of the present specialists in the design of an effective and comprehensive MRV system in Armenia and relevant processes.

Participants of the workshop also had the opportunity to get acquainted with the methodology for data requirements and collection for the mitigation MRV developed by Gauss International Consulting, contracted in the frame of CBIT project, as well as to discuss the list of stakeholders to be involved in the data collection process, the scope of their responsibilities, collected mitigation policies and actions lists and regulation approaches.
