The series of workshops presenting international benchmark on greenhouse gas inventory continues in the frame of UNDP-GEF “Building Armenia’s National Transparency Framework under Paris Agreement” (CBIT) project.
On September 29, a workshop on “Greenhouse gas inventory in Estonia: key problems, current status and perspectives” was organize in partnership with "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO. During the event, experts of Estonian Environment Agency and Estonian Environmental Research Centre presented the experience of greenhouse gas inventory (GHG) in Estonia, existing difficulties and problems, as well as measures aimed at solving them.
Welcoming the participants of the event, Gayane Shahnazaryan, Deputy Director of the "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO, emphasized the need to study the international experience of greenhouse gas inventory and greatly stressed the importance of the support received from the CBIT project aimed at developing capacities of specialists in state institutions and equipping them with the necessary knowledge and tools to undertake GHG inventory.
Over 20 specialists from Ministry of Environment, "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO and UNDP participated in the event.
