A working visit of an international consultant from the Institute of Global Climate and Ecology named after Academician Yu. A. Israel (IGKE) was organized on June 19-23, 2023 in the frame of UNDP-GEF “Building Armenia’s National Transparency Framework under Paris Agreement” (CBIT) Project. The working visit was aimed at supporting the national capacity building for the development of the national GHG inventory of Armenia.

As part of the visit, on June 21, round table discussions took place at the “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center” SNCO of the Ministry of Environment, where experience of the greenhouse gas inventory in RF and possible ways to improve the accountability of the Republic of Armenia in the field of "Land use, land use change and forestry” were presented by the expert and discussed with the representatives of the Ministry of Environment, "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO, Statistics Committee and UNDP.

During the working visit, bilateral working meetings with the participation of the international consultant were also organized with the employees of the Forestry and Biodiversity Monitoring Service of the "Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center" SNCO and the Forestry Policy Department of the Ministry of Environment.
