“Strengthening the National Framework for Climate Transparency in Armenia – CBIT 2” UNDP-GEF Project

“Strengthening the National Framework for Climate Transparency in Armenia – CBIT 2” UNDP-GEF Project

Funded by the Global Environment Facility and implemented by UNDP in coordination with the Ministry of Environment, the project aims to strengthen Armenia’s institutional and technical capacity to meet the Enhanced Transparency Framework reporting requirements under the Paris Agreement, in alignment with our national priorities.

It is planned to strengthen institutional and legal mechanisms for Measurement, Reporting and Verification (MRV) and Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) tracking to ensure full compliance with the ETF. Another project intervention area is enhanced UNFCCC reporting to sustain and expand transparency efforts, including the operationalization and scale-up of the MRV system with new modules. Moreover, institutional and individual capacities for climate transparency and effective knowledge management will be enhanced, delivered through a tailored Training and Mentorship Programme.
