Around the globe, agriculture is one of the fields that are most vulnerable to climate change. Climate change influences this sector in many different ways. Changes in temperature and precipitation, as well as weather and climate extremes influence significantly crop yields, livestock productivity, availability of water necessary for irrigation, processes of agricultural products as well as transportation and storage conditions.
Safeguarding agriculture practices and adaptation measures are an important prerequisite for sustainable economic development of the country.
Current handbook (available in Armenian language only), prepared in the frame of UNDP-GCF Armenia's National Adaptation Plan project, summarizes solutions and climate change adaptation measures applicable in the agricultural sector.
