Climate change and migration in Armenia. case study

“Climate change and migration in Armenia” case study has been conducted in the frame of UNDP-GCF Armenia's National Adaptation Plan project. The study aims at identifying the extent to which people's migration intentions are driven by climate change impacts and/or lack of community adaptation actions.It is based on the results of a sociological survey conducted in Shirak and Tavush regions in July-August 2021. The research comprises a survey of 300 households (HH) in 14 rural settlements and 18 focus group discussions (FGD) with the participation of representatives of the administration of rural, urban and regional government bodies, community structures and non-governmental organizations.
