Global warming is a reality, the consequences of which are tangible in Armenia.

Diana Harutyunyan, UNDP Climate Change Programme Coordinator, shared interesting information in the framework of a workshop for journalists organized by the Armenian Red Cross Society. In particular, she presented the global trends in climate change, the predictions of temperature and precipitation for Armenia, key vulnerability areas for climate change impacts in Armenia, including the threats to water resources degradation, the reasons for non-availability of clean water, as well as Lake Sevan’s vulnerability to climate change consequences.

In Armenia, many projects are being implemented aimed at improving adaptation to climate change consequences.
