The Exchange on Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV)/Transparency between Lebanon and Armenia  took place on 13-14 September, 2018  in Beirut, Lebanon. The event is funded by the UNDP/ UNEP Global Support Programme for National Communications and Biennial Update Reports (BUR) with the collaboration of the UNDP Lebanon and UNDP Armenia. The Exchange was organized within the South-south collaboration, which is a fundamental tool to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and the enhancement of national capacities.

The initial exchanges started in 2017 between representatives of the Governments of Armenia and Lebanon aimed at supporting each other with valuable lessons learnt and best practices in relation, among other things, to greenhouse gas inventories, MRV systems, the continuous elaboration of BURs and the access to new financial resources like the Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency.

Four representatives from the Government of Armenia (Ministry of Nature Protection, Ministry of Economic Development and Investments, Ministry Transport, Communication and Information Technologies and Statistics Committee) and two UNDP experts participated in the event from the Armenia side.
