The Joint Programme "Clean Air for Health and Green Growth in Armenia (EU4Clean Air in Armenia)" aims to strengthen the capacity of the Government of Armenia to monitor, analyse and regulate air quality, thereby contributing to improved air quality, enhanced protection of public health, and sustainable green growth.

The Programme will support the modernization and expansion of Armenia's national air quality monitoring system; strengthen the legal, regulatory, and institutional framework for air quality management; enhance the technical capacities of national institutions responsible for air quality monitoring, modelling, assessment, and policy implementation; and improve public access to timely, accurate, and user-friendly air quality information. The Programme will also promote stronger coordination among national institutions and stakeholders and foster the integration of scientific evidence into policy development and decision-making.

The Programme is jointly implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Environment Agency Austria (UBA). UNDP serves as the Lead Participating UN Organization and Convening Agency, while the UNDP Multi-Partner Trust Fund Office (MPTFO) serves as the Administrative Agent.
