On March 5, 2026, Natia Natsvlishvili, UNDP Resident Representative in Armenia, and H.E. Eva Sundquist, Ambassador of Sweden to Armenia, visited Alaverdi consolidated community to review achievements under the UNDP “Strengthened Community Resilience through Energy Efficiency and Low Emission Development” project, funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). Head of Alaverdi community David Ghumashyan accompanied the high-level guests during the visit.

A solar photovoltaic system with a capacity of 10 kW has been installed at preschool educational institutions No. 2 named after "Amalia Karapetyan" and No. 7 in the Alaverdi community.

On 20 May, UNDP-Sida Project Board meeting of "Strengthened Community Resilience through Energy Efficiency and Low Emission Development" project was held. During the meeting, the work accomplished by the project over the past year and the upcoming tasks were discussed.

On April 5, 2024, Alaverdi State Vocational College (ASVC) hosted Tatevik Pnjoyan, the Director of Tevosyan Polytechnic College of Vanadzor named after S. Tevosyan, along with college lecturers, to exchange experiences.

On 14 February, Alaverdi State Vocational College and "EcoVill" company signed a memorandum of cooperation.

On June 30, 2022, the Inception stage meeting of the “Strengthened Community Resilience through Energy Efficiency and Low Emission Development” project was held.

Alaverdi, 23 June 2023 - The summary event of the "My Green Alaverdi" youth idea competition, organized as part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week, took place at the "Green Camp" in Poqr Ayrum village, Alaverdi community.

In the period of June 5 and 7, within the EU funded “EU4Climate” project, implemented by UNDP in Armenia, the online sessions of “Alaverdi towards Clean Energy Transition” awareness campaign” were held for Alaverdi community youth, to mark the World Environment Day.

On 15 May 2023, the leaders of the project "Strengthened Community Resilience through Energy Efficiency and Low Emission Development" implemented by the UNDP-Sida program were hosted in the Alaverdi community of Lori marz.

A training course was held for Alaverdi community energy sector officials within the framework of UNDP-Sida project
